1. Scope of these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the peacecountrycyber.ca website (the “Site”) and the free educational resources we publish here. They do not govern paid engagements between you and Peace Country Cyber Inc. — those are governed by separately executed agreements (Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work, and any applicable Engagement Letter).

By using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.

2. About the educational resources on this Site

The Site provides educational content about cybersecurity, including the Security Risk Report, Compliance Checklist, blog posts, and other resources (collectively, the “Resources”).

The Resources are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not:

  • Professional cybersecurity advice tailored to your specific business or situation
  • A substitute for a formal cybersecurity assessment
  • Legal advice or a substitute for consulting legal counsel
  • Insurance advice or a substitute for consulting your insurance broker
  • A guarantee that following the recommendations will prevent a cybersecurity incident

3. No warranties

THE SITE AND THE RESOURCES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

4. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEACE COUNTRY CYBER INC. AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE RESOURCES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE RESOURCES WILL NOT EXCEED CAD $100.
